Boozer 'Looking Forward' To Return To Utah
In his 9th season in the NBA, Carlos Boozer is playing for his third team. On Wednesday night he'll travel with the Chicago Bulls to play the Utah Jazz, the team the signed him as a free agent in 2004 and the team he left in 2010.
"I'm looking forward to it," Boozer told K.C. Johnson, of the Chicago Tribune, about his return to Salt Lake City. "We need a win. That's my main concern, getting a win in that building. They're a very good team at home. So it's a big game."
Boozer isn't the only former Jazz player that will return to the EnergySolutions Arena on Wednesday night. Both Kyle Korver and Ronnie Brewer played for the Jazz for three and four seasons, respectively. And all three of the former Jazz players signed with the Bulls this past offseason
Boozer still isn't sure how the fans will respond to him when he steps onto the court as an opposing player.
"I don't know," Boozer said. "We'll find out when we get there."
But Brewer knows how the fans should respond to Boozer, even through he's not sure if it'll actually happen.
"He's done a lot for that organization," Brewer said. "He was an All-Star there, got us to the playoffs, got us some division championships. He should be honored. But you know how fans are, especially when it comes to opposing players."
