Bookfield Zoo Honors 'Merry Mask Makers' For Sewing Masks For Animal Care Staff
CHICAGO (CBS)-- The Brookfield Zoo is honoring the "Merry Mask Makers" who have already sewn 700 masks for the zoo's animal care staff to wear.
Some of the animal care staff work 12-hour days and need protection. Currently, the zoo is closed to the public and the need for staff to take precautions and practice social distancing.
The "Merry Mask Makers" is made up of 20 of the zoo's volunteers that have taken on this new task to help their zoo community.
