Bomb Arson Unit Investigates 'Grenade-Like Object' In South Shore
CHICAGO (CBS) -- The Chicago Police Bomb and Arson Unit is investigating after a "grenade-like object" was found in a building undergoing renovations in the South Shore neighborhood.
Someone called police at 8:45 a.m. to report the suspicious object, which was found while rehabbing a building, according to police.
The Bomb and Arson Unit has responded, and found the device was not active.
