Body Recovered From Lake Michigan On Gold Coast
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man's body was pulled out of Lake Michigan on Tuesday in the Gold Coast neighborhood.
A pedestrian spotted the body in the water around 6:35 a.m. near 800 North Lake Shore Drive, between Ohio Street Beach and Oak Street Beach, according to police.
Multiple Police Department and Fire Department vehicles, as well as a Chicago Police Marine Unit boat and a Chicago Fire Department boat responded to the scene, and the body was pulled from the water around 7:15 a.m.
Police said the victim, who appeared to be a middle-aged man, was dressed in shorts and a button-down shirt.
Area Central Detectives were conducting a death investigation.
