Body Pulled From River Near Chinatown
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A body was pulled from the Chicago River's South Branch near Chinatown Thursday morning.
Fire officials said as of 9:20 a.m., the recovery of the body was still in progress.
The body was found in the river near 19th and Wells streets, Fire Media Affairs Chief Kevin MacGregor said.
Ping Tom Memorial Park is located along the riverfront at that location.
Further details about the discovery were not immediately available.
