Body Of Wyoming Man Found In Carol Stream Pond
CAROL STREAM, Ill. (STMW) - The body of a Wyoming man visiting a friend in west suburban Carol Stream was found in a retention pond Thursday in the western suburb.
William A. Alldredge, 31, was found dead Thursday in a pond within the Ross Ferraro Town Center in Carol Stream, according to the DuPage County Coroner's office.
Alldredge's mother contacted police about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday and said she last talked to her son Monday evening and had been unable to reach him since, according to a statement on the Village of Carol Stream's website.
On Thursday morning, a Carol Stream police officer saw clothing in a retention pond near Lies Road and Fountainview Drive – west of the fountain in the Town Center, the statement said. The Carol Stream Fire Protection District and the DuPage County Coroner's office removed the body from the bond.
Alldredge, of Casper, Wyo., was staying with a friend in Carol Stream the past few weeks, the statement said.
An autopsy was performed Friday, but the results were inconclusive.
