Body Of Missing Man Found Hanging In Forest Preserve
SCHILLLER PARK (CBS) -- A person walking through a northwest suburban forest preserve Tuesday evening encountered a grisly sight — the body of a man hanging from a tree, a victim of an apparent suicide.
Shortly before 6:30 p.m. Tuesday a person walking through Schiller Woods at Irving Park Road and the Des Plaines River spotted the body hanging from a tree, Cook County Forest Preserve District spokesman Mike Truppa said.
The body was identified as Alfonso Flores, 50, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
Flores was reported missing on Monday by his wife, who lives in Schiller Park, Truppa said. No foul play is suspected, Truppa said, and the death is believed to be a suicide.
