Body Found On Dan Ryan Expressway
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man found dead early Saturday on the Dan Ryan Expressway in the University Village neighborhood is the 10th cold-related death of the season in Cook County.
Police responded about 3:55 a.m. Saturday to the southbound ramp near Taylor Street on the Dan Ryan Expressway (I-90/94), Illinois State Police Master Sergeant Cameron said.
Someone spotted the body underneath the interstate and called 911, Cameron said.
An autopsy Sunday determined the unidentified man in his 60s died of diabetic ketoacidosis and cold exposure, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. His death was ruled an accident.
