Body Found At Suburban Golf Course
(CBS) -- Police in a southwest suburb are trying to determine how a man ended up dead in a popular golf course in the area, but foul play is not suspected.
CBS 2's Sandra Torres reports.
Police cars are a rare sight inside the Seven Bridges Golf Club in Woodridge.
"We were wondering what's going on with that," neighbor Amir Haghighat says.
The Woodridge Fire Department reports divers recovered a body from a pond inside the golf course Saturday morning. Witnesses say golfers made the discovery in a pond near the 10th hole.
Edith Alonso lives in a building next to the golf course.
"I would've never imagined something so awful," she says.
It's unclear how the body ended up there, but neighbors hope to have more answers soon.
CBS 2 could not reach someone at the golf course for comment.
Police say foul play is not suspected. Autopsy results are expected Monday.
