Boater Rescues Man In Chicago River
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A boater helped rescue a man in the Chicago River on Wednesday afternoon in the Loop.
The Fire Department responded about 2:40 p.m. to a report of a person in the river near North State Street and East Wacker Drive, Fire Media Affairs said.
When the police Marine Unit arrived, officers found a civilian boater had helped the man out of the water, police said.
Fire Media Affairs Cmdr. Will Knight said the man was not hospitalized.
