Blue Line Delayed After Reports Of Smoke In Subway
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Reports of the smell of smoke delayed Blue Line service Friday evening.
The smell of smoke was reported near the Clark-Lake station, in the subway beneath the Loop. Trains in both directions were stopped to allow the Chicago Fire Department to clear the tracks, according to CTA spokeswoman Catherine Hosinski.
The Fire Department quickly struck out the fire call. Service resumed by 6 p.m.
CBS 2's Rob Johnson interviewed passenger Greg Gillam, who said the fire call created confusion among commuters.
