Blackhawks Trade Marty Reasoner to Florida For Jeff Taffe
The Chicago Blackhawks have made yet another trade; however this time they are not unloading highly paid players from their Stanley Cup Championship roster. The Blackhawks acquired center Jeff Taffe from the Florida Panthers for center Marty Reasoner. The deal basically gives the Blackhawks an additional $600,000 in cap relief. Reasoner came to the Blackhawks by way of the Atlanta Thrasher in the Dustin Byfuglien, Ben Eager, Brent Sopel and Akim Aliu trade. Taffe, who is under contract for $600,000 compared to Reasoners $1.2 Million, is a former first round draft pick of the St. Louis Blues who tallied 2 points (1 goal and 1 assist) and 4 penalty minutes in 21 games in the 2009-2010 season.
