Blackhawks To Take On Red Wings Wednesday Night
(CBS) The Blackhawks' Western Conference Semifinals series with the Detroit Red Wings will start Wednesday night at the United Center.
The NHL announced a 7 p.m. CT puck drop for Game 1.
The league will officially announce the schedule for the rest of the series after Monday night's Game 7s are complete. The Detroit Red Wings' official Twitter account said Game 2 will be Saturday, however. No start time was provided.
The Blackhawks have home ice advantage in the best-of-seven series and would also host a potential Game 5 and Game 7.
The Blackhawks swept all four regular season contests against the Red Wings this season, with goaltender Corey Crawford in net for all four wins.
"It's almost a team like ours," Crawford told the Tribune Saturday. "It's a puck control team. They skate well, move the puck well, lot of skill, a lot of patient players with the puck and (with) their D-men, it seems like a lot of screens and a lot of big shots from the point."
