Blackhawks Sign Kruger To 2-Year Deal
(CBS) Just before the weekend began, the Blackhawks locked up forward Marcus Kruger on a two-year contract.
The 23-year-old Kruger registered 13 points (four goals, nine assists) in 47 games for the Blackhawks last season, including two game-winning goals.
The 6-0, 181-pound forward added a postseason career-high five points (three goals, two assists) in 23 Stanley Cup Playoff games, as the team captured its second Stanley Cup Final victory in four seasons.
A Stockholm, Sweden, native, Kruger has earned 39 points (13 goals, 26 assists) in 125 career games with the Blackhawks from 2010 to 2013.
