Blackhawks Send Morin Back To Rockford
(WSCR) - Blackhawks' players like Bryan Bickell and Jordan Hendry spent a great deal of time last season moving between the Blackhawks and their AHL affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs. This season it appears as if Jeremy Morin will be doing the same.
The Blackhawks have assigned forward Jeremy Morin to the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs.
Morin, 19, has registered one assist, a +2 plus/minus rating and six shots on goal in five games with Chicago this season.
At the time of his call-up, Morin led Rockford with six goals, including a team-high four power-play markers, and shared third with nine points (6G, 3A) in 17 AHL tilts in his professional debut.
Originally acquired in a trade with the Atlanta Thrashers on June 24, 2010, Morin tied for fourth in the Ontario Hockey League with 47 goals and ranked 12th with 83 points in 58 regular-season games in his rookie season with the Kitchener Rangers during the 2009-10 campaign. The Auburn, New York, native captured a Gold Medal with Team USA at the 2010 World Junior Championships, collecting five assists and seven points in seven games during the tournament.
The Blackhawks will host the Dallas Stars at the United Center on Wednesday, December 8 at 7:30 P.M.
