Blackhawks Recall Morin, Six Others From Rockford
VANCOUVER (WSCR) -- The Chicago Blackhawks have recalled seven players from the Rockford IceHogs, of the American Hockey League, the team announced on Thursday.
The players include forwards Jeremy Morin, Rob Klinkhammer and Brandon Pirri, defensemen Brian Connelly, Shawn Lalonde and Ryan Stanton, and goaltender Alec Richards.
Morin, 19, has two goals and an assist in three games with the Blackhawks this season. As a member of the IceHogs he recorded 12 points (8G, 4A). Morin was a member of Team USA's bronze medal-winning squad at the 2011 World Junior Championships in Buffalo.
Klinkhammer, 24, made his NHL debut this season when the Blackhawks took on the Dallas Stars on December 8. The Lethbridge, Alberta, native led the IceHogs with a +14 rating and also racked up a career-high 17 goals.
The Blackhawks will take on the Vancouver Canucks in game two of the first round series. The Canucks have a 1-0 lead in the series after beating the Blackhawks 2-0 on Wednesday.
