Crawford Day-To-Day; Blackhawks Recall Goalie Karlsson From Rockford
(CBS) With Corey Crawford day-to-day with an upper-body injury, the Blackhawks have recalled goaltender Henrik Karlsson from Rockford.
Karlsson will serve as backup to Ray Emery when the Hawks face San Jose at the United Center on Friday night.
The 29-year-old Karlsson has appeared in four games with the IceHogs this season, posting a 2-2-0 record with a 2.23 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage.
The Stockholm, Sweden, native was acquired from Calgary on Jan. 21 and made his Rockford debut on Feb. 1 at San Antonio.
The 6-6, 209-pound goaltender has appeared in 26 NHL games with the Flames from 2010 to 2012, earning a 5-9-8 record with a 2.79 goals-against average and a .905 save percentage in those contests.
