Blackhawks Re-Sign Jordan Hendry
The Chicago Blackhawks have re-signed defenseman Jordan Hendry to a one-year contact. The 26-year old from Nokomis, Saskatchewan native played in 43 games last year for the Blackhawks and tallied eight points (2 G, 6A) and ten penalty minutes while logging 11:51 of ice time per game. The re-signing of Hendry adds more depth to an already deep defensive corps with Duncan Keith, Brent Seabrook, Niklas Hjalmarsson, Brian Campbell and the newly acquired John Scott all signed for next season.
It has been much publicized over the course of the off-season that the Blackhawks have traded away multiple key players from the Stanley Cup winning team. While there may have been more moves than many anticipated the Blackhawks will still be able to put a very talented group out on the ice every night. In addition, they are even more loaded with prospects than they were a year ago.
