Blackhawks Re-Sign Brian Bickell and Jack Skille
The Blackhawks confirmed on their team website that they have re-signed forwards Brian Bickell to a three-year contract and Jack Skille to a one-year contract. Bickell, a former Blackhawk draft pick played in 16 games for he hawks this year and tallied seven points (3G and 4A); both the games played and points were career highs for for winger. The 23-year old Skille has seen action with the Blackhawks dating back to 2007, while only six of his 30 games were last year he remains one of the top prospects for the team. These signings come just a day after the team locked up defenseman Nick Leddy and a day before they will step into an arbitration hearing with goalie Antti Niemi. The outcome of the arbitration case could determine whether or not Niemi remains a Blackhawks past this year.
