Blackhawks' Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane Own Top-Selling NHL Jerseys
(CBS) Three hoists of the Stanley Cup in six years have cemented the Blackhawks atop the hockey world. Their status as the NHL's defending champions resonates in jersey sales, too.
At the midway point of this NHL season, the league's top-selling jerseys are of two Blackhawks stars, with Jonathan Toews at No. 1 and Patrick Kane right behind at No. 2.
Kane leads the NHL with 60 points -- 23 goals and 37 assists -- and set a Blackhawks record with points in 26 straight games earlier this season. Toews has earned recognition as the captain and leader of Chicago's hockey success. Both are All-Stars this season, with Kane serving as a team captain.
The list of top-selling jerseys is rounded out by Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist third, Capitals winger Alex Ovechkin at fourth and Penguins center Sidney Crosby at fifth. Oilers rookie Connor McDavid joined the list at No. 10.
The Blackhawks return to action on Friday at 7:30 p.m. when they host the Buffalo Sabres at the United Center.
