Andrew Ladd's Availability For Game 1 Uncertain, As Wife Is In Labor
(CBS) Blackhawks forward Andrew Ladd's availability for Game 1 of a first-round series against the Blues on Wednesday night is uncertain, as his wife has gone into labor.
Ladd was still in Chicago early Wednesday afternoon. Puck drop is set for 8:42 p.m. precisely at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis.
A late February acquisition ahead of the trade deadline, Ladd had provided stability on the Blackhawks' top line, recording eight goals and four assists in 19 games.
Richard Panik took Ladd's place on Chicago's first line during morning skate. Panik has eight points in 30 games this season.
The Blackhawks will also be without top defenseman Duncan Keith, who's serving the final game of a six-game suspension.
