Bills Place Aaron Kromer On Indefinite Paid Leave After Allegations Of Punching Minor In Face
(CBS) The Bills have placed offensive line coach Aaron Kromer on indefinite paid administrative leave after he was charged with battery stemming from a weekend incident in which he allegedly punched a minor in the face following an argument over beach chairs.
Kromer, 48, was arrested early Sunday in the Pensacola, Fla., area and then released on bond following an altercation in which he threw a fishing pole into the water, pushed a boy to the ground and then punched him, injuring his left eye, according to the police report. Kromer had confronted two boys about using his beach chairs while they were fishing, the report stated. Kromer has a home in the area.
Kromer is also accused of threatening to kill the boy's family if he reported the incident.
Kromer served as the Bears' offensive coordinator under Marc Trestman the past two years before their firings following a disappointing 5-11 season in 2014.
