Bill O'Brien: Time For Penn State To Move Forward
(WSCR) While some in State College refuse to accept the sanctions levied by the NCAA against the football program, head coach Bill O'Brien is ready to move on.
At Penn State's media day Thursday, O'Brien expressed his feelings on the turmoil that surrounds his program.
"We're very, very mindful of what happened here," O'Brien said. "But it's time, in my opinion, this is just my opinion, it's time to stop the dour attitude. It's time to think of ways to help us through this. We all have to come together and realize why we're in the position we're in. We have to. We have to stop arguing about it. We have to move forward."
O'Brien also downplayed the "us against the world" manta.
"When we play football we'll have a chip on our shoulder just like every team should," he said. "But at the end of the day, it's not us against the world. It's about Penn State."
