Bill Daley To Stay At White House Through 2012 Campaign

WASHINGTON (CBS) -- Retired Mayor Richard M. Daley's brother, William Daley, has told President Barack Obama he will stay on as White House Chief of Staff through the 2012 re-election campaign.

But as WBBM Newsradio's David Roe reports, Bill Daley says after the election, he wants to return home to Chicago.

The Chicago Tribune reports Bill Daley says he made a commitment to President Obama through what they hope will be his reelection. He says he is confident that Obama will be reelected.

Since Bill Daley joined the Obama administration, the president's job approval rating has dropped to record lows, as unemployment hovers in the 9 percent range, the newspaper reported.

The election will be held on Nov. 6 of next year.
