Biggs: Will The Bears Cut Players Before CBA Expires?
The biggest news from Halas Hall so far this offseason, outside of anything Jay cutler related, was that the Chicago Bears denied the Tennessee Titans permission to interview Mike Tice. But what will be the next big news?
"I think the next big thing is the possibility of some players being cut," Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Tribune, said on the Danny Mac Show. "You know, Tommie Harris, what's his status going to be? Do they release some players before the CBA ends on March 3, March 4? Are they going to cut a couple guys? I think that's the big news."

There's also been plenty of talk about whether or not the Bears will sign head coach Lovie Smith to a contract extension. Jerry Angelo made it clear that he wants to keep Lovie around, but the NFL's labor negotiations may also play a factor in Lovie's contract status.
"When Lovie gets his extension, yeah that's newsworthy, but no one's going to be surprised by that," Biggs said. "So I'm looking forward to seeing if we have any roster movement before the lockout."
