Biggs: Martz Was 'Fairly Absurd'
(WSCR) On the heels of the Bears 25-20 loss to the Raiders, one Bears expert can't seem to figure out what exactly Mike Martz was doing Sunday.
With a rookie quarterback at the helm, making his first-career start, Caleb Hanie made 36 throws -- three of which were intercepted -- and handed the ball off just 22 times.
"Fairly absurd is a fair way to characterize Mike Martz a lot of the times, isn't it?" Brad Biggs of The National Football Post and Chicago Tribune told The Mully and Hanley Show on Monday. "You look at what his track record has been with Bears, I'm not talking about what he's done elsewhere or how things have gone in other places. We've been down this path before where we've sat here on a Monday and said, 'I can't believe that the Bears fell into this trap.'
