Biggs: Carimi Will Play, Won't Start
(WSCR) There's a good chance the Bears will welcome their first-round draft pick back into the lineup after the bye week.
Gabe Carimi, who was sidelined with a knee injury in Week 2 that caused him to miss five games, practiced Wednesday and is likely to play when the Bears return against the Eagles next Monday night.
Though he'll play, Brad Biggs of The National Football Post and Chicago Tribune doesn't think he'll start.
"I don't think we're going to see Gabe Carimi in the starting lineup against the Eagles," Biggs told The Mully and Hanley Show. "I had mentioned yesterday morning that even if Carimi practiced this week, I didn't see that happening. Let's take a look at it – the guy played about six quarters before he was injured. … He's missed five games since. They had a quick practice yesterday and they're going to have an even quicker practice today. Then, they come and get back to work next week. So he'll really have only one padded practice before the Eagles game."

"They feel that the line they have right now is playing better," Bigg said. "It's getting better. So, Carimi will be back in the starting lineup this season. I don't think there is any question about that, but it's not going to happen in the Monday night game against Philadelphia."
