Biggs: Bennett And Offense Showing Signs Of Progress
The Bears have played five games since their bye week. In each of those five games we have seen two common things: a balance offensive attack and a Bears' victory. On Sunday, against the Lions, when the defense was having difficulties the Bears were able to rely on the offense to get a win.
"It's a definite sign of progress for that group," the Chicago Tribune's Brad Biggs said on the Mully and Hanley Show. "But you have to ask yourself is the defense starting to show a few cracks or something like that?"

As the new offensive system continues to develop, so do the players in the schemes.
"I thought Earl Bennett was outstanding," Biggs said. "He's really kind of growing before our eyes and he can make the plays down field. He's not this just possession guy that goes down easy. I love the way Earl Bennett fights for yardage after making the catch. He's made two of those plays in a row, two weeks in a row now."
While Bennett has started to become more of a factor over the course of several games, Brandon Manumaleuna made big strides against the Lions.
"We saw Manumaleuna show up in the passing game, that big play to pick up the first down and the touchdown catch," Biggs said. "I know fans have been really critical of him this season. And I think part of that is due to the fact that Dez Clark was kind of a fan favorite around here for a while. But I think Manumaleuna has equated himself, by and large, pretty well this season."
