Biggs: Bears Can't Afford To Get Off To A Slow Start Against Houston
(WSCR) The Bears may have run over teams like the Jaguars and the Titans with ease, but facing the 7-1 Texans will be a different story.
At times this season, the Bears defense has carried the team as the offense has been slow to start, waiting until late in the game to get into rhythm.
According to one Bears expert, the offense will need to come out firing to take down the Texans.
"They realize that they can't wait until the third quarter to get clicking on offense, or, as they did against the Panthers, the fourth quarter to get going," Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune told The Mully and Hanley Show. "They have to be playing good football in all phases from the start, I think, to stick with a team like the Texans."

Granted, the Texans haven't had the most difficult of schedules in getting to 7-1, but they've still lost just one game. Houston's lone loss came courtesy of the Packers, who, coincidentally, gave the Bears their only loss.
"Are the Texans world-beaters? I don't think so by any stretch," Biggs said. "They play in a garbage division. They've got the Titans and the Jaguars in their division. The Bears have seen how brutal those teams are. ... But Houston has got a 7-1 record like the Bears. Like Lovie (Smith) said yesterday, you are what your record says you are. So, the Texans are a very formidable club. I have some questions about Matt Schaub at quarterback, but I think observers on the outside would probably say the same thing about Jay Cutler."
