Big Z Selling One Of His Two Chicago Homes
(CBS) According to a Chicago Tribune Report, troubled Cubs pitcher Carlos Zambrano is selling one of his two Chicago-area homes -- a 13-room house in River Forest -- for $969,000.
Zambrano's future with the club is in question after he was placed on the disqualified list for the remainer of the season when he left the clubhouse early and threatened retirement on Aug. 12. The right-hander was ejected from that game against the Braves after he allegedly threw at Chipper Jones twice.
After his ejection, Zambrano cleaned out his locker and told club personel he was retiring. Zambrano later retracted those statements. He still has one year left on his contract with the Cubs.
Zambrano purchased the 4,000-square-foot home in 2006 for $1.199 million.
