Big Win For Blackhawks Doesn't Mean Work Is Done
The Chicago Blackhawks knocked off the St. Louis Blues and earned two points on Wednesday night. It was two points that the team desperately needed, but they still have a lot of work to do.
"It was a big two points," defenseman Duncan Keith said. "Having said that I don't think we want to change anything."
The Blackhawks' final two games are agaisnt the rival Detroit Red Wings, and any drop in focus or intensity could quickly lead to them losing both.
"If anything we know that we can keep playing harder and better," Keith said. "And we're going to have to."
They may have all but locked up a playoff berth with their win over the Blues, but the playoffs aren't the goal for this team. The Blackhawks, of course, have their sights set on repeating as Stanley Cup Champions.
