Big Ten Denies Hiring Seat Fillers For Championship Game
By Adam Hoge-
(CBS) The Big Ten sent out a statement on Twitter Wednesday denying that the conference is hiring seat fillers for Saturday's Big Ten Championship Game between Wisconsin and Michigan State.
An ad appeared on Craig's List Tuesday night saying, "Saturday night event in downtown Indianapolis needs seat-fillers." While the ad did not mention the championship game directly, it went on to say, "Must tolerate loud noise and crowds. Must have red or dark green casual clothing to wear. Event will last all evening on Saturday night."
The conference responded on Twitter Tuesday with this statement:

The Big Ten announced July 30 that general public tickets for the game sold out in two hours, but 2,000 additional tickets -- returned from Wisconsin's allotment -- were made available Wednesday morning.
There doesn't appear to be much of a demand for tickets as some were available on StubHub for as low as $8.98 Wednesday morning.
