Big Delays On Metra's BNSF Line From Aurora
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Commuters can expect delays this morning on Metra's BNSF line after a disabled freight train halted five trains inbound into the city.
The freight train was moved just before 6 a.m. and train #1202--that was originally scheduled to arrive in Chicago at 6 a.m.--will be the first to depart.
Riders should expect delays of 80 to 85 minutes, Metra said.
Metra officials asked commuters to listen to platform announcements for details on the location of their train.
The BNSF line runs from Aurora to Chicago's Union Station.
