Bicyclist Hit By Minivan, Injured In Buffalo Grove
BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. (CBS) -- A cyclist was injured Wednesday morning when a minivan struck a bicycle in Buffalo Grove.
As CBS 2's Kris Habermehl reports, the bicyclist was struck sometime in the 6 a.m. hour on Weiland Road at Newtown Drive, about halfway between Deerfield Parkway and Pauline Avenue.
The bicyclist was injured, but the victim's injuries were not life-threatening, Habermehl reported.
Following the accident, Weiland Road was closed near the scene.
The road is a popular north-south route during the morning rush, with a fairly light traffic volume, but this morning rush hour, traffic was rerouted to Buffalo Grove Road.
