'Bibliotreka' Book Tricycle Stolen in Logan Square
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A small, portable library has been stolen in Logan Square.
It's not exactly the bookmobile. It's just a large tricycle, with a large box attached to it that can be filled with books to take around the city to spark interest in the Read/Write Library in Humboldt Park.
It's called the Bibliotreka and early Sunday morning, Amanda Meeks, the library's outreach coordinator, says the tricycle was stolen.
"It's really disheartening actually."
Meeks says she and others have posted fliers around Logan Square, where it disappeared.
"I don't think that anybody who knew what it was intended for would take it, honestly."
The Read/Write Library which takes the Bibliotreka around the city is devoted to works about Chicago and by Chicago people.
