CICERO (WBBM) -- One of the Chicago area's true characters may be getting her own TV show.
Former Cicero town president Betty Loren-Maltese, convicted on federal corruption charges in 2002, says she'll be hosting a political TV talk show starting in the spring, Newsradio 780's Bernie Tafoya reports.

The outspoken former pol says it's ridiculous the way politicians ran campaigns this season with none of them offering plans with solutions, but spending their campaigns bashing each other.
Loren-Maltese says her show, "Politics-Chicago Style" will not pull any punches.
She says the show's executive producer is TV veteran Len Poteracki.
Loren-Maltese would be joining two other local ex-con politicians who've found jobs in broadcasting, former Chicago Ald. Cliff Kelley and former City Clerk Jim Laski.
