Best Bars To Play Darts In Chicago

When you're looking to relax and enjoy an extended stay at one of Chicago's watering holes, darts is where it's at. I'm not talking about the plastic sets with tips you have to replace twice a game. I'm talking about real steel-tipped darts. For me, these bars score a perfect bulls eye!

Cody's

1658 W Barry Ave
Chicago, IL 60657
(773) 528-4050

Located on the corner of Paulina and Barry, Cody's doesn't really classify as a dive bar, but more of a relaxed hang-out. Cheap drinks, laid-back atmosphere, outdoor beer garden and lots of dogs to pet. The mellow bartenders will set you up with as many darts as you like, just holding on to your ID as deposit.

Cody's has a great backyard hangout too. When you step into the back area of the bar there are people sitting around a fire, other people are grilling and others standing around drinking. You might think, "This reminds me a lot of camping, but with running water and no bugs."

This is all a good thing. See you out here!

Mullen's On Clark

3527 N Clark St,
Chicago, IL‎
(773) 325-2319‎
www.mullensbarandgrill.com

Yes, it is in Wrigleyville, but if you go to Wrigley on a game night you must know what you are in for. On nights where it isn't March Madness (or Cubs Madness) this is a wonderful place to eat, watch some amazing TV or play darts and foosball. By the way, If you're a Colts fan, this place is heaven for you.

Great service, great wings, reliable specials, cheap Guinness. Mullen's is underrated and is one of the more electric places to be on north Clark St.

Big Joe's

1818 W Foster Ave,
Chicago, IL‎
(773) 784-8755‎

Six days out of the week, this neighborhood joint operates like a comfortable dive bar -- with carpeted floors, cheap drinks, darts and all, but on Fridays

Players buy drinks for turtle raffle tickets. If your ticket is pulled, you are whisked upstairs to pick a turtle and race n the bar's pool table. Winners advance to a championship race at the end of the night, but turtle jockeys who come in last still win a free drink! What's not to love?!

Carol's Pub

4659 N Clark St, Chicago, IL‎
(773) 334-2402‎
www.carolspubchicago.com

Remember that scene in Blue's Brothers, when Jake & Elwood get the band back together to play a gig at Bob's Country Bunker? There's a chain link fence behind them and the audience throws bottles until they play "Stand by Your Man"? That's Carol's!

The bartenders are great, the whiskey is fine, and the dancing is fun. If you're looking for some late night action, check out this place.

Live music, tons of drunk people. You'll be sure to have a story or two to share with your friends after an evening here!
