Located in Chicago's fun Edison Park area, Firewater Saloon is the only country bar in the neighborhood. But it's so much more than that. With live country music acts every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening, 19 flat screen TVs showing all the hot sporting events and signature cocktails, Firewater Saloon is a pretty cool place based on these merits alone, but their extensive menu including a wide variety of breakfast dishes is also pretty phenomenal itself. Firewater Saloon opens daily at 7 a.m., so even if you want your breakfast during normal breakfast hours they can accommodate that — or, whenever else you want. Call ahead to see if there's a live band playing if you're going for the food only as to avoid the cover charge.

Smack dab in the middle of the trendy River North neighborhood, there's no mistaking Yolk as anything other than a breakfast place thanks to its clever name. From wraps to platters to skillets — even crepes and blintzes — there's a breakfast dish for everyone at Yolk. Yolk gets the griddle going at 6 a.m. Monday through Friday, and at 7 a.m. on weekends, and has additional locations in the South Loop, Streeterville, West Loop and Lakeview areas. Because of Yolk's popularity there can sometimes be a wait, but once that plate of food is in front of you you'll see that it's well worth it.

Intimate and quaint, Hash, located in the West Town/Wicker Park area, serves up breakfast that looks as good as it tastes. Open at 8 a.m. every day but Tuesday, Hash offers friendly service in a casual environment, and with, you guessed it — a side of hash, although there are other options available too. One of the more eclectic breakfast options is the sweet potato, red onion & feta omelette, but more conventional choices are also available. For a more roomy experience, come during non-peak hours.

All-day breakfast and wine? Life can't possibly get any better than that! Open from 7 a.m. to midnight daily, 3rd Coast Cafe is the oldest of its kind in the Gold Coast area and there's good reason for that staying power. With a warm, classy ambiance, 3rd Coast offers menu options featuring local and all-natural indegredients, boutique wines, craft beers and even fresh baked scones. There's even a PB&J sandwich on the menu — but unlike any one your mom every made. Parking is sometimes tricky in the Gold Coast area; however, there is three-hour valet parking available just down the street.
