Bennett: Free Agent Receiver Talk 'Very Insulting'
CHICAGO (WSCR) Despite the NFL Lockout, this offseason has something the Chicago Bears and their fans are used to hearing: Speculation that the team will pursue a big-name free agent receiver.
"I mean, for the past three years I've been hearing that, at least, 30 receivers that have been in the free agent market, was supposed to come here or the Bears are looking at these guys," Bears receiver Earl Bennett said. "But, I mean, the guys in the front office must see something in us and we must be doing a pretty good job becuase, you know, they never go after these guys.
"And me personally, I feel like we have a great group: Johnny [Knox], Devin [Hester], Rashied [Davis] 'D.A.' (Devin Aromashodu). I feel like we do a great job and all of us bring something different to the table. And I feel like we continue to get better each year and we're, you know, continuing to hopefully be one of the strong points on the team."

It's clear that Bennett and the rest of the receiving corps don't like the the constant speculation.
"It's very insulting," Bennett said. "Because it seems as if, you know, we're not getting the job done, which is definitely not the case on out opinion."
