Beckham To Start Rehab Assignment Over Weekend
(CBS) Gordon Beckham is preparing to take the next step in his rehab process.
Beckham hasn't played since he fractured his left hamate bone on April 9 and will join Triple-A Charlotte this weekend for three games in Buffalo.
"I'm tired of watching games, that's for sure," Beckham told the Tribune.
"Results really aren't important down there. It's a matter of getting your timing. I'm going to try to see a lot of pitches and to get to two-strike counts a lot, just so I can see pitches."
Beckham participated in long toss Wednesday and said he felt like he was ready to return.
'It's all dictated by my hand and how it feels," Beckham said.
