Bears will wear throwback jerseys twice this season
In order to commemorate the 1940s, a decade of dominance, the Bears will wear throwback jerseys for two different games this season. In the '40s the Bears became the league's first dynasty winning league championships four times (1940, 1941, 1943 and 1946) in seven years.
It was this dominance that spawned the nickname "Monsters of the Middway," a name that still represents them to many fans today.
On Monday, September 27 in a game against the Green Bay Packers and on Sunday, November 14 against the Minnesota Vikings, the Bears will wear 1940s style throwback jerseys.
