Bears vs. Packers On Opening Day?
CHICAGO (CBS) -- That sad NFC Championship game is hardly a distant memory, in which the Green Bay Packers clobbered the Bears and Jay Cutler had to leave with a sprained knee.
But now, it looks like the Bears might be taking on the Packers again on opening day next season.
Jeff Blumb, a former public relations director for the Packers, issued the following tweet Wednesday night: "Not confirmed, but continue to hear on NFL grapevine that it will be Bears at Packers in Week 1 Thursday night opener."
Cutler was widely criticized for going to the sidelines with a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee, leaving Caleb Hanie to take over as quarterback for the rest of the game.
Most recently, Cutler told the Chicago Sun-Times he "would have loved to play."
