Bears' Tinoisamoa Out For Lions Game
(WSCR) - Bears' linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa won't be on the field against Detroit Sunday. He has swelling in his right knee and practiced on a limited basis Thursday but was unable to Friday.
LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) The Chicago Bears have ruled out linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa for Sunday's game at Detroit because of swelling in his right knee.
Tinoisamoa tore the posterior cruciate ligament in that knee during last year's opener at Green Bay and did not play much the rest of the way.
He missed the Miami game two weeks ago. This week, he practiced on a limited basis on Thursday after sitting out the previous day but was unable to go on Friday.
Nick Roach figures to start at strongside linebacker against the Lions with Tinoisamoa sidelined. The Bears have won four straight and lead the NFC North at 8-3.
