Bears TE Zach Miller Suffers Foot Fracture
By Chris Emma--
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (CBS) -- Bears tight end Zach Miller's season is likely over after more injury misfortune.
Miller suffered a broken right foot late in the second quarter, coach John Fox confirmed after the Bears' 22-16 loss to the Giants on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
Miller had recorded three catches for 61 yards and a touchdown, a 19-yard connection from quarterback Jay Cutler in the first quarter. In the final minute of the second quarter, Miller had his foot stepped on in a scrum. He hobbled off and chucked his helmet away before being greeted by team medical personnel.
Miller has yet to play a full season in his NFL career, which began in 2009. He missed three straight seasons due to injuries, returning in 2015 and playing 15 of 16 games.
Bears rookie linebacker Leonard Floyd was carted off and taken to the hospital after suffering a neck injury late in the fourth quarter. Fox confirmed that Floyd had movement and the early news was "encouraging."
Pro Bowl guard Josh Sitton left the game in the third quarter with a right ankle injury. He left the field on a cart and was quickly ruled out for the game. Sitton wore a walking boot as he left the locker room.
The Bears have also lost linebacker Christian Jones (ankle) and cornerback Cre'Von LeBlanc (concussion) for the game.
Updates to each of the Bears' injuries will come from Fox on Monday at Halas Hall, including word to whether Miller's season is over.
