Bears Sign OL Turner, Waive OL Pocic
(CBS) The Bears have signed offensive lineman Rob Turner and waived offensive lineman Graham Pocic, they announced Sunday night.
The 6-foot-4, 308-pound Turner, 29, has played center and guard previously in the NFL. He played and started in six games for the Titans last season and started all 16 games for the Rams in 2012. Turner was originally an undrafted free agent out of New Mexico who first played for the Jets in 2007.
Chicago is banged up on the offensive line, with starter Jordan Mills battling a foot injury and reserve Brian de la Puente set to miss a few weeks with a left MCL sprain. Reserve Eben Britton has also been slowed by a hamstring injury.
The Bears had signed Pocic, an Illinois product, in late July.
