Bears Sign Mannelly To One-Year Extension
CHICAGO (CBS) -- The Bears have signed long-snapper Patrick Mannelly to a one-year contract extension.
"I'm extremely pleased we were able to reach a one-year extension with Patrick Mannelly," Bears GM Phil Emery said. "He epitomizes what we're looking for in a Chicago Bear: excellence in performance and great leadership."
The deal keeps Mannelly with the team through the end of next season. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Mannelly has played his entire 15-year career with the Bears since he was drafted in 6th round of the 1998 NFL Draft. His 15 years with the Bears are a team record. He also holds the team record for the number of games played, with 230.
