Bears Should Be Happy To Not Be At Metrodome

All the talk this week from the Bears' players about the change of venue for the Bears-Vikings Monday night game, has been negative. But history tells us that it could still be better than the alternative.

"The fact of the matter is, that the Bears are thrilled," Brad Biggs said on the Danny Mac Show when asked about the Bears' reaction to the change of location. "I don't care what the field is like tonight, the Bears are going to love it because it's not the Metrodome, where they've been awful under Lovie Smith."

The players' criticism has revolved around their safety while playing on a field that, for all intensive purposes, is frozen. But a frozen field outside might be a better fit for the Bears, than a regular field inside of the Metrodome.

"[The Bears] have lost tot he Vikings by an average of two touchdowns over the past six seasons in the Metrodome, because they struggle to play there." Biggs said. "It's one of the most difficult road venues in the NFL. They'd play this thing at the Target Center if they had to."
