Holmes: Bears Preparing For Favre

This afternoon, the Vikings added intrigue to the mix for tonight's game when they announced that Brett Favre has been upgraded from "Out" to "Questionable." Favre was originally ruled out after feeling some numbness in his throwing hand over the weekend.
This is what the Vikings website said about Favre's improvement:
"Brett Favre attempted to throw the football two days ago and was unable to, due to pain in the SC joint and residual numbness from a brachial plexus injury," Vikings Head Athletic Trainer Eric Sugarman said. "He declared himself out at that time. He woke up this morning feeling much improved. His symptoms and function have improved dramatically over the past 24 hours. In fairness to him and his team, he would like to be given the opportunity to play tonight if physically able."
The Bears have been prepping for Joe Webb to make the start, but in talking with members of the orginaztion, they plan on being ready to take on Favre if he plays. On November 14th the Bears forced Favre into 3 Int (1 for TD) in a 27-13 victory at Soldier Field.
Favre will throw between 4:30-5 and then the training staff, Favre and Interim Head Coach Leslie Frazier will make a decision on whether he plays.
On the weather front: I landed in Minneapolis around 11 and the snow had just begun. The forecast calls for 5-9 inches of snow and freezing temperatures. The streets are already covered with snow. I'll have an update on the field later this afternoon.
