Bears Moving On After Sunday's Debacle
LAKE FOREST (CBS) -- The Bears took their medicine Monday and sorted through the aftermath of their ugly loss to the Patriots. So what did they learn from watching the film?
"They kicked our ass," Bears center Olin Kreutz said. "W e knew that yesterday. We watched the film today. They just out-executed us they did everything better than us -- they deserved to win the game by that much."
The Bears say they will have a short memory and put the Patriots debacle quickly behind them, CBS 2's Megan Mawicke reports.
"You don't have a choice," Bears tight end Greg Olsen said. "We have to move on."
So they're looking at the path in front of them. If they beat the Vikings and the Packers lose this weekend, Chicago will win the NFC North with still two games to go.
"We're undefeated in our division -- that is hard to do," Bears head coach Lovie Smith said. "Not many teams can say that in the National Football League right now. We're in perfect position, with a little luck, to possibly accomplish another one of our goals this week."
So the Bears are on to preparing for the Vikings now, but where will they play the game if the Metrodome roof isn't fixed in time?
The game could possibly be in St. Louis, Indianapolis or even outside at the University of Minnesota. The Bears say they don't care where the game it is. They just want to be celebrating a division title next week.
