Bears' Long, Sitton Cleared To Play In Tampa; Goldman, Royal, McPhee Questionable
By Chris Emma--
LAKE FOREST, Ill. (CBS) -- The Bears are in their healthiest form since Week 1 as they prepare to head down to Tampa for Sunday's contest with the Buccaneers.
Bears coach John Fox announced that Pro Bowl guards Kyle Long and Josh Sitton were both cleared to play, while receiver Eddie Royal (toe) and nose tackle Eddie Goldman (ankle) were each questionable after practicing in a limited role this week.
Goldman hasn't played since suffering an ankle sprain during the Bears' loss in Week 2. He finally returned to practice this week, with the bye providing time to heal. Goldman said earlier this week that playing in Tampa would be a possibility.
"I just want to add on," Goldman said. "I just want to add on to that defensive mentality. Like I just want to get out there, make a couple of plays and celebrate with the team."
The Bears also listed linebacker Pernell McPhee (knee), cornerback Bryce Callahan (ankle) and cornerback Tracy Porter (knee) as questionable, though each should be in line to play.
Cornerback Deiondre' Hall, the only Bears player to miss practice this week, is out again as he recovers from an ankle injury.
Kickoff between the Bears and Buccaneers comes at noon on Sunday from Raymond James Stadium.
